Michael Armbruster, LMSW

Counselor in Metairie

Michael is a licensed master social worker providing therapy in the New Orleans area. He was born and raised in Metairie, attended Brother Martin, and pursued his undergraduate and graduate education at LSU. Michael works with individuals seeking support with emotional well-being, stress, life transitions, and personal growth, and welcomes clients from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. His therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also taking a holistic view of well-being that recognizes the connection between mind, body, and environment. With a background in kinesiology, he pays attention to how stress, emotions, and thought patterns show up physically, and  works with clients to build practical tools that support both mental and physical health. He views therapy as a collaborative process looking to walk alongside you as you explore what’s been holding you back, strengthen coping skills, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and aligned with your values.
